Fairly high overlap with my interests: classic game hardware, detailed reviews of prog rock albums and shows, Frank Zappa references on MST3K. Pity about the obnoxious Javascript malware injected by the hosting provider!

Oboe Classics - Geoffrey Burgess on the Oboe as the Custodian of Orchestral Pitch
Why orchestras tune to the oboe, and what they've actually been tuning to over time. (They suggest that if you've got a recording at an unknown speed, assuming A=440Hz is actually not a bad idea.)

The Great 78 Project – Community Preservation, Research, Discovery of 78rpm Records
An archive.org subproject. The papers about how they're doing the digitisation are very interesting; there's a nice study of what stylus size to use for various eras/manufacturers of 78s, for example.

Lots of guitar-related stuff, but particularly interesting for the detailed history of the Big Muff Pi fuzz pedals -- with discussion of all the different models, circuit differences, etc. -- and Tangerine Dream's film score for "The Keep". A substantial time sink.

Dual Channel Blackface-style Preamp for Bass Guitar
Clone (sort of) of the Alembic F-2B, a rackmount version of the classic Fender preamp and tone stack. The Alembic remains absurdly expensive so this might be an interesting project... although I'm really not convinced about the safety of his PSU arrangement! (You'd have to do something different for 240V anyway, e.g. two transformers back to back.)
